Will, I think you and Joanie should just take the night off and relax. Joan, don't worry about tomorrow either; if you're feeling well enough to work by evening you can come in but Pia is ready to cover your shift in a heartbeat if you need, so don't sweat it. You and the baby come first, darlin'. Wed, Oct. 5th, 2005, 05:07 pm
I think one of the guys at the bar tonight might be reviewing for the Chronicle. I'm not sure why I think that, it's just a feeling. Will, d'you wanna come by later and check him out? You can smell reporters, right? I know it's your night off and all, but I'd like a second opinion from someone who's likely to know. Tue, Sep. 6th, 2005, 10:10 am
I got a phone call from Alex this morning. He's out but he needs a place to stay. He asked if he and Nick could stay with me. I said yes before I even thought about it. He's my brother and his city is gone, let alone his house. So uh. I hope that's all right. It's my brother and his seven-year-old son. Thu, Sep. 1st, 2005, 02:16 pm
I don't know whether y'all have been watching the news or not. I haven't had time to keep up as much as I'd like to be, what with things being as busy as they are at the bar. But I would be remiss if I said nothing. My city is being swallowed up by God's hand. If I prayed, I'd be praying for N'Orleans right now. Mon, Aug. 22nd, 2005, 09:01 pm
I tried to stick around at work, but I really just wasn't focusing. Saw her today. Rachel. She's married now. She has two kids. I brought home a bottle of bourbon from the bar. I don't know if it's going to help. Be in my room if anyone wants me. Mon, Aug. 8th, 2005, 11:57 am
Okay, I've gone over the accounts and everything at the bar. We're open tonight. Kit, you're A-OK, right? Can you 'tend and bounce? I need April waitressing and I think I want to spend some quality time with Jackie today. Are you down? Sun, Jul. 24th, 2005, 09:01 pm
Well, Will's off home to talk to his brother and his sister-in-law. :\ My fingers are crossed for him. Sun, Jul. 24th, 2005, 07:44 pm
Hey Will, I seem to have fried a few extra chickens. When you get out of painting class, come over and help me eat some of them, and then maybe we can get some more ... you know ... practice in. Tue, Jul. 19th, 2005, 10:05 pm
Oh, and on the subject of Kit ... I think we should all pitch in and get Matt a sensory deprivation tank and some earplugs. Have you ever tried to deny Kit sex? I mean, seriously, have you? I once lasted a day. Tue, Jul. 19th, 2005, 09:39 pm
Just for the record, Will had (has) five brothers. Five. Both his parents are still alive. He has good friends all across the globe. Just something I think you should think about, Kit. Fri, Jul. 15th, 2005, 12:14 pm
I'm spending the afternoon and a bottle of bourbon at Will's. I think he could use a friend right now. Kit, please hold down the fort at the office until I show up - I shouldn't be later than my shift would've started, certainly. Fri, Jul. 15th, 2005, 11:27 am
Okay, so apparently Joan is dating that son of a bitch arrogant bastard Czech prick. Thu, Jul. 7th, 2005, 03:20 pm
...................................... fuckin' terrorists. I'm doing God Save the Queen at the bar tonight. And Rule Britannia. And Jerusalem. And maybe There'll Always Be an England if I can find the sheet music for it. Peregrine, will you come by and sing with me? Fri, Jun. 24th, 2005, 12:14 pm
Back at the house now. I don't think I'm going in to work today. Wed, Jun. 22nd, 2005, 06:13 pm
Today I bought a deep-fryer. For the apartment, not for the bar. We already had a deep-fryer at the bar. For dinner, I am going to make deep fried ice cream. Well, for dessert I guess ... Fri, Jun. 10th, 2005, 04:26 pm
First ever Washington traffic infraction I'm not sure if that actually counts as a milestone, but it's something. I was going seven miles over on the freeway (I5) and now there is an official warning on my Washington State driver's license. Also I have a library card. I have checked several CDs out of the local library and will play them in my truck until I have to give them back. Is burning copies of library CDs truly immoral, or is it like going five miles over the speed limit? Wed, Jun. 1st, 2005, 06:35 pm
Rose, can I borrow your souffle pan? I'm trying to make a chocolate souffle, but it's kind of impossible without the proper equipment.

Okay, folks, the opening is drawing near - Saturday night, Moonshine is open for business for the first time ever. The decorating's finished, thanks to Gwen's eye and taste, and the crew's all hired. I'm tendin' the first night myself, of course. But the place is fully staffed and the advertisements are all around and I've got my fingers crossed for a fine old time.
